My name is Corinne Tobias and I’m the creator of this blog that is all about cannabis and health (and having a good time combining those things!).

Since 2013, I’ve helped millions of people on their cannabis journey and have been featured in publications like High Times, Merry Jane, Jezebel, Westword and Vice.
Today, you might call me a “health nut”, but I wasn’t always healthy, happy or driven with a purpose.
In my teens and 20’s, I was more than 60 lbs overweight, had severe lower back issues, was addicted to prescription painkillers and was binge drinking every day.
I was sick more often than not and I was told that by the time I was 30, I wouldn’t be able to walk.
A doctor once told me that without back surgery, I’d be bound to a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
I started smoking cannabis “recreationally” and noticed that if I took the right amount, my pain subsided long enough for me to get off my ass and go for a walk. It started with a stroll around the block, and gradually, I found myself walking as much as 10 miles a day.
I’d smoke cannabis, put on my headphones, keep my car parked and walk to school or work. I also walked “recreationally”, just wandering aimlessly around town for the better part of an afternoon.
Cannabis IS a “gateway drug”…

After a few months of smoking cannabis regularly, I lost 20 lbs and my diet started shifting.
When I smoked cannabis and ate certain foods, I started noticing what I called “bad tingles” in my joints and back. When I ate other foods, I felt light and good enough to go for another walk.
Hint: the simple habit of using cannabis and walking was a big deal.
Cannabis also helped me discover that the painkillers I was taking made me feel sick to my stomach and effected my mood and behavior.
Since I’d already figured out how much cannabis I needed to take in order to get to a pain free state (usually just a one hitter several times a day), I shifted from opioids to cannabinoids in the course of a few weeks.
There was no struggle in this transition and it wasn’t forced. I didn’t think, “I should quit taking these pills.” It just didn’t feel good to take them anymore. I gradually stopped reaching for them when I was in pain and grabbed cannabis instead. I didn’t have any major withdrawal symptoms, even though I’d been taking prescription painkillers regularly for over 2 years.
Over the next 10 years, I used cannabis regularly as I lost over 60 lbs, started doing yoga (and eventually became a yoga teacher), radically changed my diet and reclaimed my life.
When I set out to become a cannabis coach, I incorporated what I learned from 5 years of intensive cannabis study, 8 years as a health and wellness writer, the best health coach and yoga trainings in the industry, business and mindset mentorships, my personal experience and playful style and pulled it all together to help people transform their lives with cannabis.
I have an unshakable confidence that cannabis is a powerful life-changing, transformation-accelerating and scientifically-backed option for so many people who need help.
I mean… I never needed that wheelchair after all, and my body consistently surprises me in its ability to heal, open up and grow stronger.
Cannabis radically transformed my life from sick, sad and painful to joyful, healthy and free. And I believe that it can change the world.
Since I experienced such amazing results using cannabis medicinally, I’ve written several cannabis cookbooks, offer cannabis-based health coaching to clients around the world and train my students at the Cannabis Coaching Institute so they can replicate these results.
