You might be interested in two of my Medical Marijuana articles on my blog. They were written for Guardian Liberty Voice Newspaper. Also, I just started a petition on Change.org about changing the DEA classification of marijuana. The link of that is here and on my blog. https://www.change.org/p/barack-obama-people-are-dying-change-marijuana-frm-schedule-i-drug-before-more-people-die-by-opiates

December 12, 2016 at 8:49 amThanks for this! I have been using MM for years but now have a spot on my lungs and would prefer edibles. I also make salves to rub on for my pain and would like to include infused oil of some kind if I can figure out how to do it. This sounds like a nifty little tool and I will be saving my dollars to purchase one. Thanks again for all the useful information! In Canada, we are still fighting to have it decriminalized and legalized….I am hopeful!

September 12, 2018 at 12:00 pmI just bought and used the ARDENT LIFT. The easiest non stinky, no guess work way to decarboxylate. Worth every penny, as med Canna products are sooo expensive. Now I just need a great butter/oil recipe.

Question: If using RSO oil to make coconut cannabis oil, is it really necessary (once the coconut oil has melted and the RSO added) to cook for a half hour at low temp since the RSO oil is essentially ready for use?
Thank you again.
Lea
Corinne
January 25, 2017 at 10:38 pmHi lea!
No need to decarb RSO, from what I understand. Let me know how it goes 🙂
Much love,
Corinne

January 6, 2018 at 4:09 pmDefinitely need to declare RSO. Does not work without decarbing‼️
jc
July 4, 2018 at 6:08 amIt is already decarbed, you 100% do not need to decarb it
Karen
May 20, 2019 at 5:33 pmYou may have a built up tolerance. Maybe you might want to try to try a CBD cleanse. RSO will be ruined if you decarbonize it. It’s already been done and ready to use.

Is there info on your site or can you advise me otherwise?

August 11, 2017 at 8:34 amDear Cat, im new to med. mar. I have stage 4 lung cancer, so I can’t smoke or vape? I live in NJ (South), I hope and pray that you are close, they don’t sell edibles in NJ!!! So all I’ve been making is the baked crackers, and the lozenges. I am very afraid to use the butter machine, I’m afraid I’ll screw it up?

June 10, 2017 at 7:23 pmThis is probably not a new issue but here in Florida Medicinal is about to become a reality and I want to be informed & ready when it does. I am almost 70 and remember the 60s oh so well. I have a plethora of moderate to severe aches & pain. Feet – Arthritis, Back – Herniated disk, Knees – Meniscus, Pneumonia – Recurring, to start with. I know cannabis eases Arthritis pains. Probably won’t do too much for my back. Can’t smoke it, I have COPD, I also have blood clots in my lungs with Deep Vein Thrumbosis in left thigh. Anyhoo if my Md recommends it I want to be ready to start. Can you give me some direction? Now where do I start? Thanks, Rich

October 6, 2017 at 12:32 pmHi Corinne! Wow thank you so much for putting together a cannabis cookbook! This is EXACTLY what k have been searching for! I am a medical marijuana patient in Maine. I am wondering how your would go about decarbing kief? Would it work to decarb in pyrex at 240 degrees? Not sure how it would strain out of coconut oil or if it would work to not strain at all? But would that affect taste? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!! Love & light to you!! Thank you for sharing your work I’ll be ordering your cookbook this weekend 🙂

October 15, 2017 at 5:47 amHiya! I’m fairly new to baking with cannabis and I don’t have enough money to invest in a Magical Butter. Is there a substitute I could use for the time being that can be found in a standard kitchen? Or would a normal pot on low heat do the trick?

March 4, 2018 at 12:21 pmI’d like to know the answer if and when you get one. Also, do you make it for personal use or do you produce it with the intent to sell? What are the requirements for me to make and sell it in California? Is a business license needed for edibles being made for a one day event only and if so, what is the cost? What’s the cost based on? Is there an official manual for the State of California which addresses the issues I’ve mentioned or perhaps you know of a website I can take a look at to see what kind of information I can absorb today. Thanks!!

November 20, 2017 at 7:26 pmThanks for the new book on dealing with the munchies. It came just as I’m trying to take off some weight. I use marijuana to help with insomnia, and I get really hungry after I take it. Not good to add an extra meal at night!
Despite the insomnia, I’m forever grateful to be alive after my brush with cancer, and to my wonderful wife Valorie, who has been tremendously helpful and supportive over the last six years.

January 8, 2018 at 8:40 pmQuestion: Do you decarb when making ice cream as well? i.e.: milk, cream in double pot for hours with weed- doesn’t that process decarb? Thanks!
Kristina Etter
January 9, 2018 at 5:45 pmYes! You are absolutely right, the process does decarb in some scenarios where heat is applied for an extended period of time. I encourage you to also read our blog about Decarboxylation, time and temperature do make a difference in getting the most out of your flower and the best potency.

February 10, 2018 at 8:10 amHi Corrine, just wondered if I could use canna butter instead of canna oil for your suppository recipe?
I really enjoy your knowledge that you share.

February 18, 2018 at 2:53 pmI would think coconut oil is the way to go, Sean. I am not sure of the safety concerns of using butter internally.

April 16, 2018 at 7:24 pmA friend tells me I should try the infused honey but i am an insulin resistance type 2 diabetic and eating a low carb high fat diet that is fixing my insulin issues. May 21, 2018 at 10:08 pmA year or so ago I put some cannabis in a sealed container and it has just been sitting in my garage at room temperature. My understanding is that after sitting like this most everything will turn to CBN. What would be the best way to extract the CBN, I presume alcohol. Do I need to decarb? How long, what temp, or a long slow extraction in the dark? Any comments would be appreciated.

July 1, 2018 at 11:27 pmI’m trying to get my 26 year old son, who has brain damage, off of all his horrid phych meds. I’ve started him on CBD oil and have got him off of Tegretol and lowered his Thorazine by a third. The pot doc we saw said that we’ll need to add THC to start healing his brain from all the crap the medical world had him on. He’s doing a- fucking- mazing so far. No hallucinations since he started the CBD. I can’t wait to start the THC therapy but I live in AZ where it’s a little tricky. He doesn’t qualify for a medical marijuana card. He has brain damage from an overdose of heroin that his birth mother gave him when he was 3 months old. Any ideas how I can do this legally?
Thanks for your wake and bake site, I’ve gotten a lot of information here tonight.

July 14, 2018 at 7:02 amThank you for the downloadable book! I am a medical marijuana patient and so is my oldest daughter. We both have fibromyalgia and a rare form of a hereditary inflammatory arthritis that attacks, primarily, the joints, spine and hips. I am also diabetic and my daughter is hypoglycemic. Keeping the weight off is very important because extra weight puts an extra strain on the joints and spine. Any extra help controlling the munchies is very appreciated. Thank you again!!

November 25, 2018 at 2:34 amHow about naturally decarbing it wouldn’t you get 100% no thc heat loss. I tried it with stems and sugar leafs about 2 ounces. Let the sugar leafs dry till they crumbled ground the stems and leafs into a pulp and added it to the amount of oil needed to make a batch of brownies. I let it sit in the oil for 3 to 4 weeks. Then cheese clothed it and made my brownies. I made 1 by 1 squares 2 1by1 had me on fire. Just wondering if you’ve tried a no heat oil infuse method and your results if you did.

December 16, 2018 at 12:49 pmCorrine,
I am new to by our site and to the world of MM. What I am not new to is pain. I have had 14 back surgeries and I have been in pain management since 2005. On July 29, 2018….I quit my pain medicine cold turkey and I was left with no hope. I needed but to 10 percocet a day to control my pain and my quality of life was negligible. In Sept my mom let me use some THC relief balm that her niece who lives in Vegas let her try. I was instantly amazed. Unfortunately we don’t live in a state that has forward thinking lawmakers so my amazement was followed by profound grief. I was able to contact my cousin in Vegas and though me have never met she instantly vowed to help me. I have tried bath soaks, gummies, patches, salves and vape pens. Because of transport the easiest thing for me to do is make my own oils using RSO. I have used it to make my own balm and It works great. The patches have literally changed my life but I have not found a way to create a transdermal system at home. Lastly I have not been able to find information on how much RSO to use to infuse oils for making edibles. The syringes contain 1 gram each. My tolerance is very low as this is my first time ever using MM for any reason ever. Can you please tell me how much RSO and how much coconut oil I should use to start experimenting. I can’t tell you how much your help would mean. Thanks for offering me a bit of hope reading your work.
