With all of the uncertainty looming over us today, it would feel weird to write a post about “amazing deals” or “sales you can’t miss” this weekend.
Hell, it always felt weird.
Thinking about the kickoff to the holiday retail season used to fill me with dread.
I would focus on all of the pressure on us to spend beyond our means and create almost instantaneous landfill waste to show people we care about them.
I’ve never been a massive fan of the Friday after Thanksgiving, but this year, it feels like an even more bizarre celebration.
With so many people struggling and suffering, and at a time when we should all just #staythefuckhome more often, the thought of crowded Target parking lots adds an element to the whole affair that I can’t get behind.
TL;DR I’m a colossal grinch about Black Friday.
But this year, there’s one thing I did order.
It’s the ONLY thing I’m buying as part of a Black Friday sale this year, and I’m telling you about it because it’s a solid deal on something that has become invaluable in my cannabis kitchen.
It’s something that might even make you and/or the people you care about feel better, not just for a moment, but all year long. It’s something that could save you money this year instead of ending up in the trash or being re-gifted.
Last weekend – no exaggeration – I saved $207 compared to dispensary pricing on just ONE recipe using this device (these cannabis suppositories?) .
The next day, I made a 1:1 CBG and THC oil that I couldn’t have even found in stores. One family member finds this combination very helpful for her fibromyalgia, but can’t find it anywhere.
Creating custom blends has been so crucial for my healing journey (and for many of the people I’ve helped over the years), and this device makes it much easier to make them.
If you haven’t guessed already, I’m talking about the Ardent FX all-in-one cannabis kitchen.
Even though I already have the gadget, I’m taking advantage of the sale to buy an accessory for it that you’d automatically get as part of their Black Friday bundle.
I’ve been using mine since it came out in May, and it has genuinely made life so much easier. Beyond saving money, the FX has made it possible for me to make lots more medicine at one time with much more consistency. It’s convenient and so simple.
After years of testing different gadgets, I can confidently say it’s the best device on the market.
Check out all of the things it does:
- Effectively decarboxylates CBD, CBG, and THC plant material
- Decarboxylates concentrates (many concentrates are not decarboxylated when you buy them in dispensaries, even if the budtender tells you they are ?)
- Infuses large batches of up to 3.5 cups of oil and can decarb up to 4oz of plant material
- Makes small batches with as little as a gram of plant material
- Bakes individual serving baked goods (still haven’t played with this function, but love that it’s possible)
- Goes in the dishwasher for an easy cleanup
- Saves you so much money over commercial edibles
Even if you know nothing about the science behind edibles, you can make hundreds of custom infusions in a way that is convenient, effective, and virtually smell proof.
In short: I love this thing.
The only thing missing when I got the FX was a better way to strain the plant material and get the most oil out of the infusion.
With the new Infusion Press, you get to skip the mess and make infusions ready to go.
I just ordered mine as part of the Black Friday sale for 50% off, but if you don’t already have an FX, they’re running a fantastic deal on the entire bundle.
You’ll get an FX, the Infusion Press, and the Silicon Sleeve.
The FX itself is usually $350, which is already worth it. I’ve done the math. Last weekend’s cooking alone saved me over $400 if I would have purchased my oil and suppositories in a dispensary.
If you make more than an occasional batch of edibles, the FX quickly pays for itself in just a few recipes.
With this Black Friday deal, you’ll get the entire bundle for just $285.
Beyond all of the hype of Black Friday, I wanted to let you know about it because we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from readers who have bought the FX, and it’s the best time of the year to buy it.
If cannabis is your medicine, this thing can save you so much money, time, and give you the ability to easily make custom products that work for you.

Stay safe and stoked out there, everybody!
P.S. if you wandered over here after BF and the deal is no longer available, you can use the code WAKEANDBAKE for $30 off all year long.
Just tried the infusion press, love it.! ?
I have been looking at the Ardent FX for several months and DID buy mine on Black Friday because it was a GREAT deal! I bought the package (FX+strainer and the silicone sleeve). Wow! This thing is amazing and will pay for itself in no time! I prefer oil tinctures and they are soooo expensive to buy! One of my favorites is a vanilla flavored high THC oil and it’s over $60 an ounce. I can make 4oz oil for $10-$30 depending on if I use flower or concentrate. The added bonus is that I know the quality of the ingredients and I’m having a great time infusing different flavors-vanilla, cinnamon, peppermint, lavender-the possible flavor combos are endless! I have used coconut oil only so far but plan to try some butter and some honey using locally sourced honey. The ONLY complaint I have so far is that you cannot use the silicone sleeve if you plan to use the strainer. The strainer won’t fit if you use the sleeve (which is a major bummer to me because I wanted the sleeve to make sure I’m utilizing every crumb of plant material and be easy to strain and keeping the metal barrel clean-a little design flaw there). I ended up having to dump the contents into a plastic cup that the strainer device would fit into to strain my infused oil that way. I could have not used the sleeve and just infused directly into the barrel but I prefer the idea of using the sleeve. Really, the strainer is basically the same thing as a French press coffee maker so one could just put the infused product into a cheap French press to strain your plant material that way. Other than the non compatibility of the silicone sleeve and the press (hopefully they can fix this at some point so you can use both) I love this machine!
